Basic requirements
- App is running or allowed in the background and connected to the watch.
- Battery optimization is disabled for the app where Android prompts you to whitelist it.
- Watch is not in Do Not Disturb mode if you expect alerts.
- Notifications appear in the phone’s notification shade (the app mirrors what the OS allows).
- Notification access is enabled in system settings for the companion app.
Social and messaging apps
Facebook, QQ, WeChat, and similar apps must allow banners in the notification shade. Toggle app notification permission off and on if alerts stop after an OS update.
Calls and SMS
- Grant contacts and phone permissions for call alerts.
- Grant SMS permission for text alerts.
WeChat / QQ on desktop
Desktop login with mobile notifications muted, closed background processes, or broken Bluetooth will stop wrist alerts. Keep the phone nearby with Bluetooth on.
iOS 13 and later
Enable Settings → Bluetooth → your device → Share System Notifications when pairing requests it.
Viewing alerts on the watch
While connected, recent messages may appear on the wrist (often the latest few). Long-press may delete an item on models that support it. Configure which apps forward alerts inside the companion app.
