Power on
Press and hold the power button about three seconds, or place the watch on the charger until the screen lights. If it still will not start, charge longer before contacting support.
Download the app
- iOS: search the App Store for the official BP Doctor companion app.
- Android: use Google Play or the vendor market listed in your manual.
- Scan the QR code on the box or manual if provided.
Phone compatibility
Most modern phones are supported. Typical minimums are iOS 8.0+ or Android 6.0+ with Bluetooth 4.0+. Grant storage, network, and Bluetooth permissions when prompted on first launch.
Battery saving
Reduce unnecessary sync frequency, disable raise-to-wake if you do not need it, and limit alert types you do not use.
Water resistance
Many models are rated IP67 for splashes and sweat—not for swimming, sauna, or shower use unless your manual states otherwise.
Left vs right wrist
Either wrist can work; clinicians often standardize on one arm for blood pressure. Left wrist is commonly recommended because it is closer to the heart for ECG-style signals on supported models.
Green light on the back
The green LED is part of optical heart rate monitoring. It is low intensity and not the same as therapeutic UV exposure.
Screen will not wake
- Charge at least ten minutes and try the button again.
- While charging, test touch or button response.
- From the app, start an ECG or exercise screen to see if the watch UI responds.
- If nothing works after these steps, contact support with your order number.
Raise to wake
Some unconscious arm movements while sleeping are filtered. Twist the wrist so the display faces you to wake the screen reliably.
Pacemaker users
Many users with pacemakers use passive sensing devices, but only your cardiologist can advise you for your device. Keep the app updated and whitelist it from aggressive task killers on Android.
